St. Pancratius Chapel: An Ocular

Abner and me always wanted to have an intimate wedding ceremony. We initially wanted to be wed on Malate Church, because it was the first church where he brought me to when we were still dating (he was the first guy who brought me to a church on a date <not your usual bar, club or coffee date> which actually pretty much convinced me and cemented in my mind that he's the one). However, I deducted points for having no aircon, B-I-G for our purposes (which makes it less intimate) and kinda noisy (you step out of the church doors into a major street with jeeps and cars).

We agreed that we wanted a small church or a chapel for that matter. You know in big churches during weddings, everybody chooses a pew with no one in it, and as a whole only 3 or 4 people sit in a pew and the overall look in the pics is scraggly (like a bermuda grass in the lawn with some bare/bald patches in it) or "bungi" (imagine smiling with several tooth missing)? Well, we don't want that to happen to our pictures. Small connotes intimacy, so we wanted a small church wherein the guests will have no choice but to sit next to each other or else they'll stand for the whole duration of the wedding rite. We've scoured around the Malate area for a church that will fit to our purpose.

Long story short, we chose St. Pancratius Chapel because 1) it has aircondition (big plus); 2) it has a fountain in front (fountains are always plusses for me); 3) it is a quaint church which can accomodate 150 people, making it less scraggly in pictures; 4) it is enclosed in a walled park (positively ecstatic about this, it's like you are the only people in the world if you're inside those walls...and it's NOT noisy at all, despite being in the middle of the hustle and bustle of Manila); and  5)  because of 3 and 4, our wedding ceremony will have a semblance of intimacy, in fact, it has INTIMATE written all over it. It's absolutely perfect for what we want. :)
